If you were at Ike's last night you know what happened. If you were not, I'll save Nick's ego a bit and just say that it happened when he was pulling the microphone off the stand and it must of been stuck some how because he really used all of his strength and when he finally did get the microphone out of the clip, the force was so great, that he ended up jabbing the mic into his eye socket, thus creating the gash you see in the picture. Other than that, you'll have to ask him yourself.
